What are the tips for organizing children's toys?
Today I will share a few practical storage tips, dedicated to mothers who are crazy about messy toys~
1. Limit the types of toys When children are surrounded by too many toys, they will not be able to concentrate, so only a few toys of each category are kept. The types of toys are simply divided into the following five types: Social toys: including dolls, Tableware, labor toys and other toys allow children to learn about the surrounding environment and the adult world through imitation.
Activity toys: All kinds of toys that can exercise the baby's movement are considered activity toys, such as tricycles, ball games, slides and swings, etc.
Recognition toys: This category includes number and quantity toys, puzzles, manipulative toys, and more. Scientific toys for observation and exploration: Playing with sand, playing with water, magnetic toys, spinning tops, etc. are all toys that encourage children to explore and observe.
Language toys: including listening toys, such as music machines, octaves, etc. There are also talking toys, such as picture cards, sequence cards, puppets, shadow play toys, card readers, learning machines, etc.
2. Clever use of toy boxes
Toys such as building blocks, combination gears, and Lego are all creative toys, and it is difficult to restore them to the way they were just bought, so you can throw away the boxes of these toys, leave the instructions, and put them in boxes by category.
3. Use bookshelves to hold toys
It is open, with books on the lower floor and some Montessori teaching aids on it, so that children can get it and play at any time. Another kind of bookshelf is the combination of this kind of bookshelf + box, because it can hold too much, and the capacity is super large!
4. Use low cabinets and shallow baskets
All toys are convenient for children to access and put back at any time. Place on a storage shelf or cabinet appropriate for your child's height. If there is no suitable low cabinet, then put the toys in the lower cabinet. The storage basket should not be too deep, but should be shallow so that the eyes can see all the contents. If it is a deep basket, only pack items of the same type and label the outside of the basket. The shallow basket makes it easier for children to find the small toys they want. Felt less stressful when tidying up.
5. Use a carpet to limit the range of toys. Lay a carpet. When children play with building blocks or scattered toys, they are limited to the range of the carpet, so that toy building blocks will not be thrown everywhere. It can be folded away when not in use to save space.
6. Collect small toys in ziploc bags
Fresh-keeping bags are especially suitable for packing small toys that are easy to lose, such as baby puzzles. I use different size fresh-keeping bags and pack them separately. After finishing a puzzle, let the baby put it away by itself.
7. Label the box with pictures
A large label with a picture was pasted on the outside of the transparent box at home, so that Guoguo knew exactly what toy should be in each box after seeing the picture. It is easier for children to organize independently when they grow up and learn to read.
